ThriveCash was founded by Deepak Rao and Siddharth Batra. When they were international students at Stanford, they lived frugally, and were dismayed to find their access to financial services so limited. They'd pass on nice dinners in town and trips with friends. They'd take classes that served some economic end. Their potential was stifled by finances.
Which is ironic, because within a few years, they were executives at Twitter. Returning to their old problem, they left to start ThriveCash. They vowed not only to never eat another Honey-Nut Cheerio, but to ensure that students around the US are valued for their future potential, so they can make the most of their time in school.
We've given out millions of dollars in cash to students with the help of Silicon Valley Bank, and some of the best investors in Silicon Valley. These include two founders of PayPal, Max Levchin and David Sacks, and the COO of Twitter, Adam Bain!
And don't just take it from us!
